Sweater: XXI - Shorts: See You Monday - Boots: Timberland -Necklace: Made By Me

Lets start off by saying that I spent most of the day pulling these See You Monday shorts down. I've got a little bit of a tush and these are definitely rode up. But since Fall is coming around and giving off a bit of cold weather here in LA I thought I'd get good use of them before my only option for bottoms would be jeans and tights. I paired them with this white sweater (its bleach white despite my choice of filter for this post) knitted sweater and my Timbs to give the look a more Fall appropriate look.

In other news... I'm currently sans photographer. Well at least on a regular basis. The fact that I no longer have roommates, my boyfriend now goes to work before I am up, and daylight savings has come around makes getting outfit photos hard. I'm trying to figure it all out. I thinking of taking my tripod out and snapping before leaving for campus. Also I may have convinced my friend to take my photos every Tues/Thurs when we have class together.

Lets all keep fingers crossed because I don't want to resort to webcam photos or mirror pics... because neither of those options flatter me.

This outfit has been sitting on my rack for a few weeks now. I have been waiting for it to be cool enough to wear boots throughout the day, yet warm enough that the top half still makes sense. Today was the day.

These knee high boots are my anticipated favorite for the fall. Knee high anything actually. Socks, strappy shoes, etc. What are your Fall anticipated fave?

Shirt/Dress: Designed by Myself - Watch: Gifted - Sandals: XXI

So the Oh Land song was not in my head when I decided to shoot this outfit against the light of my window. However, as I am editing them and posting this its on repeat and its definitely the mood I was in while taking them.

This white piece is something I designed some time ago and named the "Shirt Dress." It was originally supposed to be a structured tank but came out too long. Making lemonade out of lemons I've worn it always worn it tucked into my bottoms. And for a while it was just sitting in my closet because it frustrated me. And now its become a favorite. Very A Wang if you as me. I wore it yesterday with these sandals and my equal in length trench/parka. Any suggestions on how I should wear it next are welcome.

Today I decided to get out of the house and do some venturing around the local parts of my city. On my way to browse the vintage shops and spend some time in one of my favorite coffee shops I came across this stoop. I decided this would definitely the right place to take photos. I also admire it because I am looking into a new place by the end of the year. (You have to have a head start of these things... or at least I do).

So today was actually wash day (actually it should have been but I've been procrastinating). I used a wash room in my building as my location due to a pesky setting sun. I was reminded that one of my first outfit posts were taken in a wash room. I've gotten more creative since then so this ended up being fun and the light creating nice shadows. You are welcome go back to 08' archives and look for those photos but spare me the embarrassment if you can.

Also these shoes are new (new for the blog but they have seen life for the past month). Do you like? I have them in a tan color as well. They are so comfortable, I feel like I'm walking on stilts whenever I put them on.

That is exactly what this dress makes me think of. That and my favorite tube of red lipstick. I think a little red dress is something every girl needs as well. I don't wear red much so this dress is always catch the eye of those around me because they never see me in it. I can do a nice burgundy or wine color but red, red is rare.

Anywho, this was what I wore today to work and to run errands. It was pretty hot today and I wanted something light and comfy (hence the sneakers). I'm headed to an release party for my campus magazine. As Art Assistant I have to show up early so I'm off to throw on something more glamours on my feet.

So today after fooling around with possible outfits my attention drew to a top that I have come to despise. It didn't fit right and was definitely something I would never wear again. It was just hanging in my closet, taunting me.

Before tossing it in the trash I decided to find some use for it. And wala we have a turban. What do you think? Would you guys like a tutorial? Of better quality of course.

Shorts: By Me - Top: H&M - Shoes: H&M - Necklace: Forever21

I made these shorts a few weeks ago while I was on vacation. I found myself in the sewing mood and after tiring of making hair bows I moved on to creating these babies. Also I finally got a chance to get out and take some photos with the new camera.These are the product of showing my roommate/photographer #1 for this blog how to operate my new baby. It was fun and we are currently scooping out new location to shoot more outfits. Wish us luck!

Also I attempted to go get a few thing from the Jason Wu at Target collection but had no luck. I wanted to sleep in (because of early class the next day) and everything was gone by noon. Did any of you snag pieces? from what I saw online and the few things left in the store he did a good job.

This is what I wore this past Thursday running errands...

So I had a little shopping craze and found some love for H&M. This is just some from day one. I had my eye set on some things at Zara down in Santa Monica but just decided Zara just isnt my thing. Then Thursday H&M had a re-opening party to showcase their spring collection. All in all in the past week I have ended up with a majority of the things the collages I have been posting recently. I am trying to balance guilty feelings and a self deserving feeling for acquiring a few items. I just made a promise not to do any shopping until April for my roommates B-Day and then not until the next month for my birthday (with the exception of Valentines Day gift for the boy).

I headed back down to Huntington Beach earlier this week for some fresh air. This time I stayed toward the shops and avoided the beach. Did you know there is a bar on the second floor of the shopping area that has a 'Taco Thursday?' Well they do and my roomy and I took advantage of that. I got full off of 4! My filling trick? Lots of cheese (and i mean A LOT) and a squeeze or two of lime.

This bow is a result of me pulling out my sewing machine after months of it collecting dust. Pretty good for my first try I'd say. I was going to purchase a few bows from American Apparel but after altering a pair of velvet leggings I figured there had to be a way to make on myself out of the scraps.
