I can't be the only one waiting on Spring? I was originally super excited about the winter time (for the first time ever btw). Unfortunately Southern California let us down so all we experienced here was a bit more of summer than needed. Now I'm basking in the late rainfall and cool breeze that is the end of this winter as I clutch my credit card in a online shopping haze.

I'm so ready for the next season it's not a joke. I've already ordered two items from this list and going about obtaining a third. Im excited to continue experimenting. This includes steering away from black. White has become my new obsession. It's so clean and just as cool/badass its darker counterpart. Trendy items are also on the agenda for spring. I'm finally admitting to myself that trends may be worth the bandwagon ride. So we will see how spring awakens my sense of style.

How do you feel about the seasons changing? Are you excited? And if so what trends are you seeking out in preparation?

Unreal Fur Casual Jacket Fire And Ice Faux Fur Jacket - Givenchy Ivory, gray and black ombre feather jacket - Givenchy Turtleneck Open Front Sweater - Lucas Nascimento Women's Knitted Fur Sweater - Lanvin Fine-knit wool turtleneck sweater

Its become an unbearable below 50 degrees here where I live and I can only dream in fur, sweaters and turtlenecks. I've had the thought that my reaction to temp is just because it is my first winter in my new place. I've even asked several of my friends if it would be appropriate to bust out my fluffy coat. And they all have given me the same "Sure! Why not?" response. The only thing stopping me is the possibility of it turning out to be 75+ degrees and looking like an idiot.

And pertaining to the collage, Givenchy is defintiely hitting the spot. I mean look at the grey turtleneck cut out. It's amazing! It will definitely have me lusting all until the weather is warm again.

Essentially what my studio looks like at the moment. I own this bed and my walls are some what similar. Add in a few purple and grey bins and wala you are in my apartment.

For this week's Weekly Wednesday the theme is is decor. I've recently moved but its not quite finished. So I thought I'd share some places inspiring my little project. Coveteur here i come!

One goal is perfectly meshed framed, quirky quotes and a nice comfy corner full of string lights up past the holidays.

My windows are french but definitely not this cool. I love the idea of minimal blacks, whites and imitation furs. Also a place that is stretch worth in the AM

A kitchen that would make me want to bake, mix, and chop up on the daily. I don't have the view this bathroom does but a serene vibe while bathing is definitely do-able. And big skull, fire place... say no more!

There is nothing wrong with trippy or over-the-top pieces. And most of all I would want somewhere to call home and cuddle up. Because who wouldn't want to feel like Blair Waldorf.

Fall is upon us! And even though So Cal weather is acting like a complete b-i-t-c-h, I can say that I am excited for the fall. No seriously I would kill for sweater weather because i've had enough of sweaty weather. And although Ive been MIA here on this little blog, the concept of nice clothes is not too far. I am actually in the process of moving so the whole shopping for the home instead of yourself is taking effect. So I decided to put together a little something to give you an idea of what I would be wearing if it were cool here in LA and I didn't have to choose shower curtain over a new pair of shoes.

The blue dress is an over sized unshapely piece by Victoria Beckham that I'm dying over. Plaid is definitely a thing and is going to thing up until the end of winter. University jackets paired with the plaid will be my take and any black shoe for the fall is my best bet. Summer is over and frankly I am tired of color. And you can't forget your big hats and black ripped skinnies jeans. Both, I plan on pairing with fluffy sweaters.

Cropped Craze by missdesginer91

So with summer being as hot as it is and cropped tops being as popular as they are it is no surprise that they are on my mind. I created a few looks inspired by the trend and how I would wear the most desired tops in my eyes.

Monkeying Around: This is playful crop top is perfect for a summer day where I'm running my less serious errands. You know: Ice cream stops, beach side walks (meaning only on the boardwalk avoiding sand), and makeup purchases. And because the top is demanding all the attention up top I'd wear it with a nude lip. The gun imprinted bag is added as a nod to my dark side.

Take Me Out: This is a date look so I would be taking this chance to vamp it up. A tight midi skirt with plan cropped top is simple enough to let these super (attempted to use the word uber just now and I loathe myself lol) sexy strappy heels do their thing. The statement necklace is a must for a pop of color as well as drawing attention to the collar bone (one of the sexiest parts of a woman). The lipstick will assure a flirty orange mark on you wine glass and compact is just for dramatics!

IKEA Obsessed: This is outfit is just what it is titled. My best friend and I are due for a fun IKEA trip and we go insane once inside with our OHs and AHs. Who doesn't love IKEA... if you don't I declare you clinically insane. The overalls make for a comfortable piece to walk the huge warehouse. The shoes are so cute and so my style and I can be assured no pain because of the platform.

In my attempts to get back the swing of things I have been doing what I can to keep up with the fashion industry. This included trailing the Fall 2013 collections during NYFW, analyzing them and tweeting my thoughts. This actually got a pretty awesome surprise in the form of fashion designer Charlotte Ronson liking one of my photos on Instagram. Wow that sounded cheesier writing that out that it did in my head.

Any who, to keep this going I thought I'd share with you something I am excited for this upcoming spring... HOLOGRAMS/HOLOGRAPHIC PRINTS!.... okay so I started out want to shout holograms and realized i want to say holographic as well so now that just looks like all caps rather than excitement.

But yes, I've taken a shine (see what I did there?) to this trend and I'm actually in the process of ordering the long maxi in the upper right corner. What do you guys think? Are you all for this trend?

Recently in class we screened the movie Fatal Attraction. Although I had seen it before, I had yet to see it on a big screen. This made me really pay attention the character wardrobes and I fell in love with the Alex's (Glenn Close). The long coats and over-sized men's t-shirts were heaven watching scene by scene. The chandelier earrings juxtapose in her spirals was perfection. The enormous shoulder pads even caught my eye. So halfway through the movie I decided I would put together my interpretation of the character.

Recently I have been getting back into my black/rocker phase. If I had to stick to one style i'd chose black, jeans, and pyramid studs. And to top that off Alexander Wang is in my top 3 favorite designers. So if figures that someone like Rita Ora would be an inspiration. Not only does the British songtress have a love for edgier pieces but she adds her own funk. Rita is always interesting and a definite look out for anyone with similar style.

And then this past weekend I sprained my ankle; so you know that had me down for the majority of the week. So I was going through this month's magazines and some things that caught my eye. So I decided put together a board of trends I see coming this year that I love. I'll be sure to integrate these into my wardrobe.

Spring 2012 Forecast by missdesginer91

1. Velvet: this gem of a fabric I see coming alive in 2012 in different forms. From hair accessories to shoes.
2. White blouses: while these never go out of style I see these babies coming in different shapes and sizes.
3. Inkblot: this print is a new take on prints and allows the piece to do the work and requires little accessories.
4. Army/Military: cargo and camouflage is becoming a big trend and is a great way to toughin up feminine looks or just make you feel cool. (the new leather?).
5. Asymmetrical/Diagonal: Straight lines becoming boring and these cuts weather whimsical or edgy will show up every where.
6. Ankle Boots: I know these are have been popular already and that's because the work well with jeans of every cut and even girl looks (try with a whimsical asymmetrical skirt).
7. Rhinestone Accessories: rhinestones of many different color adds some fun to any type of look.
8. Sports Wear: dressing up sports wear will be a go to look; think shorts under and un-tucked patterned top and a pair of strappy heels
9. Dalmatian: dalmatian is the new Leopard? need i say more?

So in a previous post I told you guys about wanting to add a little color to my wardrobe. I was actually serious annoyed with the lack of color shadowing my closet. I took action and headed off to Goodwill with my roommate in search of some vibrant pieces. I hadn't been to any of the Goodwill/Salvation Army stores in a long time. And it turns out the one in my area was filled with so much. What made it even better is that the whole store was sectioned by items (skirts, pants, sweaters, etc) and perfectly by color within those sections.
