So today was may day to sleep in (meaning no work in the a.m.) and I did not get a chance to test drive the weather. I looked outside and saw nothing but wind before i could focus my less than 20/20 vision on the trees. And there went my plans for a nice breezy outfit. BUT! I decided to venture out and check the weather for my self and... It was perfectly fine. So I continued with getting dressed and went to class.

Short story today, nothing special!

Ok so a quick post before bed. Last night was my roommates dinner party and today was her and her mom's family party (their birthdays happen to be on the same day.) So yesterday we stayed at a hotel near University City Walk. We ate at Wolfgang Pucks... which was insanely delicious. I kept eating way past being full because it was so tasty. Hubby ordered dessert (only) and i ordered spaghetti.... He ate off my plate anyway, even though he said he only wanted dessert.

And today there was the family party. There were so many cakes... ok there were only three. But in the beginning there was only suppose to be one cake.  There were enough candles to set off a fire alarm. The weekend has been so busy it feels like Sunday. I keep forgetting that there is one more day left in the weekend yay!

Today was a campus-wide fourlough, so my suitmates and I slept in. And I mean everyoneof us, surprisingly I was up first. I guess I did not want to miss the precious time I could spend on my day off. My roommates birthday is on Friday so we went to shopping to find her a dress. She got the cutest floral dress with a nice pair of earrings. She is going to be a very pretty birthday girl.

I wore this and some new accesories going out today, including a nerd glasses necklace. So my roommate proceeded to call me the "Poncho Nerd". The poncho and necklace were purchased during last weekends shopping adventure. I got a few picture on the way home hope you like!

So as some of you college students know today is 4.20. Im a freshman so I am just finding out about this very popular holiday. If you dont know what it is Google it lol. For those of you with a sheltered ear...just forget i said anything lol.

Well I thought today was going to be a crazy day on my campus or my dorm at least but I guess not. My classes were actually filled with people to my surprise (not many skipped school). But we will have to see what happens with night fall. Oh! dont worry I wont be participating in the festivities lol.

Today the residence dining hall celebrated earth week by setting out flowers and having brunch all day. When I got out of class I went over expecting to just read my book for a little, eat, and get out. But they had the cutest setting so i sat there for almost an hour.I continued reading my book and returning for coffee, eggs, and fruit. I felt so relaxed that I did not want to leave. The whole time I kept thinking I wished I had a camera to show you guys how nice everything looked. I'll bring my along camera more often.

So ive decided to call it a night early. Ok so it may not happened because here im writing this qiuck post and friends are in my dorm as im laying under covers. How were your weekends? Mine was very interesting and it seemed to last forever. I got a few things from the mall and some other things from a thrift store during my shopping adventure. I will soon post pics of all buys. Do you guys remember that song by the singer Vitamin C called "Friends Forever?" It was a huge graduation song in the begining of the millenium. It always made me cry lol. Well this weekend I kind of had a lesson in friendships.
Living in a dorm hall full of girls can be frustrating sometimes. As as girls will be girls, there will be a lot of cattiness and talking behind backs. I am never the person to talk behind others back but as my first year of college as gone on i succumed it. Recently realized how important it isto be honest and to reframe from the gossip.To make a long story short its better to tell someone the truth then let it ball up and become bad gossip. You honestly feel better when you just tell someone whats bothering them.

Hey guys! How was your weekend? Hopefully yours was great because mine was very interesting. Today I got a few things done. Which is really good because I hate making phone calls and going out of my way to do things I just just do later. I dont know why, i mean phone calls are not so hard... i just hate it for some reason. But today i got several things done and im pretty motivated to do things right  now. When i have days like this I kinda get on a roll with everything to be done that day (and beyond) and a result of this is this blog. I would usually hold this off until later today but  I decided to do it now. 

Hope you guys like todays outfit. Its pretty simple but i like the green of the jacket so i brought it out more with this scarf i tied around my head into a bow. How do you like?

So the heat is monsterous right out now in southern california. I can't believe i was raining tuesday morning and now its like im in a desert. I planned on heading outside to bask in the sun until i realized i was sweating sitting next to my window in the dorm. So instead im laying in my bed with the curtains closed. When i hit publish post im getting my fan down from my dressers and relaxing until my next class.

Here is yesterdays outfit. I tried posting it before 12am so it would say Wednesday instead of tuesday but i couldnt stay awake long enough to get up the words lol.

I tried so hard to think of something to wear today. But all of this work has got my brain on pause. I have been checking out blogs and loving alot of things ive seen. Im glad others are inspired lol.  So i thought I'd leave you with some outfits I created on polyvore... that i rather be wearing today
