It's only March but I think I've found my uniform for summer. I was leaving the house today and these jeans stood out to me. They remind of a pair of ragged jeans I had in the 5th grade. It took me a long time to get the ends ripped and frayed just right and I loved them. They didn't last long though because my mom threw them away and replaced them with a new pair. I can't even begin to tell you how mad I was. Luckily for both of us, that was probably the biggest tantrum I had as a preteen.

So until summer comes I think I'll be wearing my jeans out and toning up my stomach. But ya know LA is always warm so I don't have much time!

Today has been an exceptional monday. And by exceptional I mean living up to the standards of a Monday. It started off with me driving to my internship only to find out that we had the day off. I attempted to make up for that by walking around the nearby mall with a fellow intern only to find out/remember that I wouldn't have the validation for the day. An hour later I got home and now I'm just trying to relax for the remainder of the day.

Ya know what? Nothing can cheer you up like novelty items and this cat T-shirt I scored from a Men's section is just that. I'm having fun donning it while trying to look serious.

Also it's day five of the Who What Wear challenge. I totally missed day three and four which were "Go Big" "Go Home & Try a Boyish" – but I figure I do so all the time on this blog so I get a pass, right? With that said today is "Change Out Your Handbag." The bag is by Coach and it's an oldie but never worn. A middle school graduation present that's quite out of style. But disguised as a clutch it adds to the sophistication the pumps brought to such a playful look.

My only question for you all today is... How's your Monday going?

Shoes: Sheik

I have been eye the taller version of the strappy black shoes I already owned. And I debated purchasing a pair so close to the fall season. But an interview emergency gave me the excuse to scoop these puppies up. The thick ankle strap and line foot strap is just what I was looking for as there are a ton of version of black and strappy. Be prepared for post revolving around my new loves!

Top: Unknown - Sweats & Sandals: XXI -Necklace: Gifted

Prior to this post no one has actually known about the tattoo in the third photo. I've had it for almost two years now. It's the Roman numerals for my mother's birth month and day. Its not the biggest or toughest of body ink but it did hurt like I image my dream arm sleeve would. The guy who did is a big guy and has tons of tattoo. And when I brought this in to him he said he never would get anything on his ribs. This both made me fell a bit badass and scared the living shit out of me. And he was right because as I said before it hurt really bad. But i'm proud of myself and can't wait until my next shop visit. Ink is highly addictive.

p.s. you can't image how many tries it took for the tattoo and walking shots...

Dress: H&M

This little number is one of my favorite maxi dresses. Its consist a few of my favorite things: leopard, length and back details. I added it to my growing collection of maxis last year when my maxi obsession started up. Since then I have devoted a special part of my closet for them. They are so easy to throw on when you can't decide what to wear, all the while making it look like you put so much thought into your look.

I have a feeling the inner tomboy is cringing but I've learned to suppress that side of me for the sake of lady like pieces like this.

Top: Ahhs - Jeans: Levi (DIY Cut offs) - Sandals: XXI - Bag: Charlotte Russe - Necklace: XXI

Hi Ho! Yesterday was filed with running errands. A lot of getting turned around and learning my way around the city I'm currently living in for the moment. There was an attempt to go to a local Goodwill in search of overalls but no suck luck because I couldn't find it. I shall have better luck in the next attempt I'm sure of it. *crosses fingers*

These sandals are something I always doubt because of the length of the heel but they photograph on the foot so well. I think I will bust these babies out through out the summer. The top I actually cut up this morning. I've been doing this think were I take all my once cool t shirts (I went through a graphic graphic tee phase before the whole two size to big tops became a trend) and revamping them so that they are wearable. So I took scissors to them this morning and love the tank I got out it. I think its very nerd/girly cool. And because I have to mix it up the sandals are there to dress it up a bit.

Top & Bottoms: Thrifted - Shoes: XXI - Shades: Some Beachside Boutique

And again with the lyrical title, this time with a little twist. And before you judge... yes I am a Miley Fan despite her transition into her recent behavioral changes. She's a cutie and I don't care. These pants have been a bit of an dilemma for me since I first got them. Which was actually got last summer during a big thrifting obsession. I envisioned wearing something like you see now but had a problem with the size around the waste. After months of putting it off I grabbed a bobby pin and told myself "Today was the day, they go out into the outside world!" What do you think?

Heels: Mossimo

There comes a time where a girl looks into a part of her closet and comes across a piece. It may be an article of clothing... It may be piece of jewelry. But whatever it is, when she spots it she utters a few magical words: "Holy shit I forgot I had these!"

I had this moment the other day when I came across these shoes and realized that the style was definitely on trend at the moment. The two stand style and the futuristic heel/shiny heel are just up the ally of several pairs I've seen lately. There is a little bit in me that wishes the heel was see through. I even thought of painting the heel silver. And after coming down from that possible DIY failed venture I decided to leave them as is.

But I'm super excited to style these this season. I'm raking my brain on what I could put with it. If you have any suggestions let me know. They are definitely welcome!
