This Sunday was a surprise of a day. I woke up to a text from my suit mates asking if I wanted to go to a flea market in LA. And in an attempt not to waste my life sleeping well into the afternoon I accepted. Actually getting up before 10:00am wasn't such a chore since I've been waking up around 10:30am all this weekend. So we headed out and did some browsing. Unfortunately I didn't find anything that I HAD to have so I walked away empty handed (but made a mental note to return).

The rain was also an encentive to head back to the car and get food. We ended up at the Farmers Market near the Grove which meant I got to walk around and take in the different aromas. I ended up with a delicious chocolate crossiant and almost died over how good it taste. We did some more browsing around the Grove and then had a fun drive home. So all together a good day. I bearly took any pictures so I'll leave you with shots of the delious pastry and some webcam photos from a few hours ago.

How do you like to spend your Sundays?

Im currently enjoying the down time i have before the semester really gets started. As of right now my classes have consisted of introductions and syllbus reading. This happens to be my least favorite part of the school year... correction finals week is my least favorite time.

For those of you who read the post about my 8am Intro to Fashion class you will be happy to know that I have been on time each day this week. Ive been getting up and actually having time to eat breakfast before i leave. I just have to get to class early enough to get a set somewhere near the front. What is exciting and intimidating is the fact that just baout 90% of the class is dressed up. Its so fun to walk into a class where everyone appreciate and understands what you are wear. On the other hand I have to either plan my outfits the night before or get up and put something together before class (and trust me when I say I am not a morning person).

This weekend was suppose to be an agenda filling weekend but unfortunatelly the plans have been changed and set for next weekend. Next weekend is also has prior engagements set for it so im squeezing in everything there. I admit I was a totally upset with the change of plans because I they had been postponed the week before. And I really didnt know how I was going to get through the other activities i had planned because they were not as exciting.

Im not gonna tell you guys where I will be next weekend but I promise a post ASAP from the festivities and the maybe even a hint post before.

Still taking Q for the Q&A post so keep them coming

So far my resolutions have been working out... OK "certain" resolutions have been working out. As I sit here trying to remember what they all were I'm drawing a blank. But the ones that are currently in effect are 1. Paying attention to the news and 2. Writing more in each post (exhibit A this post). I decided to do an adult like thing and exit my YouTube subscriptions and type in LA Times into my URL. And I did more than my usual skimming and reading the Image section (because that's where the fashion pieces reside).

I read a few articles about the book business and was surprised to find that Borders Bookstore is in bit of trouble. Well if you call a bit falling behind Barnes & Nobles (My favorite), shutting down a store in Westwood, Ca, and letting go staff member at different branches. I always thought Borders was ahead of the game. I see more of them on a daily bases than I do a Borders. A lot of times its my only option because of the proximity to my university and home. I also stumbled across this Spanish artist by the name of  Manuel Rebollo. I would have to say he is gifted. His pieces are great as far as I have seen. So I will leave you with a few of them.

I honestly would love some of his pieces hanging around my home. He use of black and just a touch of color is wonderful; seeing as how I imagine my home full of black and white. How he adds the quotes is great to! I know I am not an art expert but I know what I like and what looks good and this definitely does. What do you guys think?

To be honest at the end of last year I had it in my mind that there was nothing I needed to work on. The notion that everyone gives ups on their new found self improvement by eventually pigging out or lighting up that spare cigar hidden in their purse definitely got to me. So I counting down knowing I would just be focusing on having a good year. But as the first week past my boycott against the resolutions turned into one change to a small list of things i could improve on. Here are my Resolutions in Life and Style.

Its not the biggest resolutions list but it will do now. I'm just hope I don't eliminate the majority of them before February.  And the style collage is just an idea of what i have in mind for my wardrobe. If you guys have any (style or life) resolutions don't be afraid to let me know what they are and how your coming along with them (I can definitely use the inspiration).
