That is exactly what this dress makes me think of. That and my favorite tube of red lipstick. I think a little red dress is something every girl needs as well. I don't wear red much so this dress is always catch the eye of those around me because they never see me in it. I can do a nice burgundy or wine color but red, red is rare.

Anywho, this was what I wore today to work and to run errands. It was pretty hot today and I wanted something light and comfy (hence the sneakers). I'm headed to an release party for my campus magazine. As Art Assistant I have to show up early so I'm off to throw on something more glamours on my feet.

Recently I have been getting back into my black/rocker phase. If I had to stick to one style i'd chose black, jeans, and pyramid studs. And to top that off Alexander Wang is in my top 3 favorite designers. So if figures that someone like Rita Ora would be an inspiration. Not only does the British songtress have a love for edgier pieces but she adds her own funk. Rita is always interesting and a definite look out for anyone with similar style.

So I start school tomorrow for the Fall semester and I was inspired to share my inspirations. I should be showering to get ready for an AM class but alas. I am watching makeup reviews and going through blogs.

I have also just finished purchasing some things for my wardrobe. I think it went well after 2 days of contemplating, roommate opinions and reminding myself of the necessity. The results will definitely be shown via high techy photos lol and a haul video (hopefully you all have gone over to my beauty channel by now). 

But without further ado here are my current inspirations.

A repeat offender on Roses are Red! and for good reason. Her ability to experiment with prints and pull it off makes me want to put a peep in my wardrobe.

This past weekend I decided to venture out and start a new part of my online presence. I started a beauty/style channel. It has been something I have been thinking about doing for some time now (especially since my love for make-up has grown so much over the past year).

 So I took a leap and LeStyleNerd was born.  I decided to started with an introduction -- feel free to check that out as well -- and then a few days later I uploaded my first tutorial (or Nerdtorial as I like to call it). It's the turban tutorial you all have been asking about.

A few weeks ago I was invited event hosted at  Effen Vodka -- held at a lovely venue called Marvimon House. The event featured three designers (Alana Hale, Fashion Designer/Bethany Barton, Illustrator/Amanda Thomas, Jewelery Designer) and several Mixologist. What could be better than drinks and art?

 We we were able to view designs based on the Effen Vodka bottles. All of which were very impressive.

At the beginning of the night we were given a bag of marbles. Throughout the night mixologist teams worked their magic serving up drinks. It was up to us to disburse the marbles as votes to the teams we favored.

All of the ingredients and tastes were intriguing.

The winning team was Yellow. They created a tasty drink called Smooth Operator.

 I had a blast. I was able to meet so many wonderful people. 

So the other day I took a trip to Nordstrom Rack in the Brea Mall over the weekend. I had so much fun just browsing around. My main goal was to find some items for the upcoming fall season. I had no luck but stumbled across my current obsession. This BCBG Max Azria dress. It's a lovely soft, white, weightless dress. The price wasn't to my liking (even for a sale). I love though. Seriously wish I had something to wear this too so that I could go back and snatch it up.

Isn't it worth the obsession? I can't get it off my mind.
