I love my heels but sometimes a flat will do. I have developed a bad association with sandals ; seeing as 99.9% of the students at my school wear them come rain and shine. I also don't like the way my feet look in them. But when I tried these on and had to take them home.

So in a previous post I told you guys about wanting to add a little color to my wardrobe. I was actually serious annoyed with the lack of color shadowing my closet. I took action and headed off to Goodwill with my roommate in search of some vibrant pieces. I hadn't been to any of the Goodwill/Salvation Army stores in a long time. And it turns out the one in my area was filled with so much. What made it even better is that the whole store was sectioned by items (skirts, pants, sweaters, etc) and perfectly by color within those sections.

I was recently contacted by The Fresh Air Fund about their wonderful program. It’s allows families to open up their home to children (age 6 to 18) from New York City during the summer. Founded in l877, families have been opening up their hearts and giving inner city children the chance to have a memorable summer.



The Fresh Air Children stay with the families or attend the Fresh Air camp on 2,300-acre site in Fishkill, New York  for two weeks and experience the the country side and do things they normally wouldn't be able to in an apartment in the city. More than 1.7 million New York City children from disadvantaged communities have been apart of this program. And not only have the children gained from the experience but the hosting families have as well. As a result more than 65% of the children who participate are invited back year after year.



The Fresh Air Fund is looking for families from 1 of 13 Northeastern states from Virginia to Maine and Canada to partake in this experience this summer. You can also request the age-group and gender of the child. The program is non-profit and there is no financial requirement  for those interested. If you or anyone you know are interested in signing up for the summer 2011 you can do so now by visiting the website.

The title of this is actually from a Demi Lavato song. I know your probably thinking i'm crazy for quoting a Disney Star. But her music is actually good. I really liked her first album and I'm waiting for her to come out with another. I like the way she writes because it similar to poetry.


 This scarf turned turban actually has a bit of yellow in it. I love items with a bit of other colors mixed in. It lets me play around with the colors in my clothes and accessories.  I haven't worn bracelets in a while so I added a yellow and some silver bracelets to this look.


I didn't have my roommate or Hubby to take photos so i had to go about it myself. I usually end up just shooting inside our little common room and place the camera  on the counter. I decided to take my miniature tripod a try outside. And this was the result. I was nervous because I had it place on a narrow ledge most of the time. Luckily the wind was good me and it stayed put.

What do you think? Should I still shoot outside even when I don't have someone to take the pictures for me?

 I noticed how other bloggers are always apologizing for not updating. They are using explaining themselves for an absence of 2 to 3 days. This makes me feel bad for only updating every now and then. But I am glad you guys are liking the blog and you continue to return with every post. I am also done with all of the time consuming assignments (for now) and it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Handing in assignments and knowing there is nothing left for you to do is relieving.

Can't wait for all of the Coachella photos that will be popping up on everyone's blogs. The outfits are always an interlude into the summer.

So lately time has been flying buy. I barely have time to look up from all the school work and worrying about my year will look like next year to spend time with friends and family. Luckily with school going so rapidly family understands my lack of appearance back and home and the Boyfriend and I promised to spend at least one day a week together no matter what. Hopefully I get all my assignments turned in an submit some articles to the school paper before the end of the month (a little something to cushion my portfolio).


Yesterday while running errands with my roommate I noticed that it was the last day the Borders' in here where i live would be open. Everything was $1 so we decided to take a peak in a see what we could grab. We had seen some thing earlier that week but we were holding out for a sale like this. Well when we went inside there was nothing but wedding planners and inspirational books by CEO left (oh and a book written by 'The Situation'). Luckily I was able to find the Kelly Cutrone book I had my eye on and the Rhianna photography book I saw online but never picked up. So I took them to the counter and walked away feeling like a thief.

I will also leave you with some food porn. I stayed with my Step-mom during spring break which was the week of her birthday. We celebrated at Benihana the night of. It was delicious and I am now salivating as I post these photos
